About

Kunsthalle Würth was built on the former area of the Haller Löwenbräu brewery in the center of Schwäbisch Hall and officially opened in 2001. Sponsored by Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG the Kunsthalle Würth presents itself as an institution open to the world with a correspondingly varied schedule of events. In addition to memorable cultural experiences it offers unprecedented architecture that was honored by the jury of the Hugo Häring Prize with the “Award for Good Building”.

The building was created by the Danish architect Henning Larsen, who embedded it harmoniously in the historical panorama of the old imperial residence of Schwäbisch Hall. The impressive facilities feature local shell limestone, glass and steel. Additionally, with its 2600 sq.m. of exhibition space, it proves again and again to be the ideal location for the presentation of modern and contemporary art.
